Program Description

Provide students' knowledge, skills and practical experiences and applications in Computer Aided Drafting & Design industry specific software for preparation into the workforce as an Entry Level CAD Technician.

What You Will Learn

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, student will be able to:

- Interpret industry specific working/construction drawings/documents

- Develop template drawings using standard drawing procedures

- Create and modify 2-dimensional drawings using industry specific CAD software

- Create and modify 3-dimensional drawings/models using industry specific CAD software

- Produce and print a set of working/construction drawings/documents per industry standards using CAD software

- Use advanced features of modeling with industry specific CAD software

- Prepare 3D models/scenes using materials, lighting and animation per the industry specific CAD software

- Design and create advanced 3D software generated models to produce a 3D printed model

- Create 3D scanned models using 3D scanning technology

- Prepare a portfolio of industry specific drawings using CAD software programs
