Massage Therapy
This certificate program prepares students to practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Colorado. Students are trained in state of the art professional massage practices and therapeutic techniques, including coursework in Advanced Neuromuscular Anatomy, Kinesiology and Pathology. Students will complete two clinical rotations. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to take the national certification exam (MBLEx) through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). They may also become professional members of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) affiliate associations.
All courses in this certificate must be completed with a "C" or better to graduate.
Requirements
Assessment testing is required for all students. Students who place into CCR 093 or above and MAT 050 or above may begin this program of study. Students scoring below this level should consult with a Faculty Member before registering for courses in this program of study. Students will be required to complete an application and interview process for selection into a cohort and then to develop a plan of study with the Program Director prior to starting this program.
