Program Accreditation

All programs in this catalog are approved by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE), the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE), the Colorado State Approving Agency for Veterans Education and Training, and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). In addition to college accreditation, many programs have additional program accreditation, recognition and/or approval by State Departments and/or National Associations. A listing is provided below:

• Automotive Technology - Accredited by National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF)

- Automotive Youth Education Systems (AYES)

• Dental Assisting: Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation and by the United States Department of Education

• Early Childhood Education: Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)


• Forestry, Wildlife and Natural Resources:

- Wildlife Technology: Accredited by the North American Wildlife Technology Association (NAWTA)

- Forestry Technology: Accredited by the Society of American Foresters (SAF)

• Health Information Technology: Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)

• Kitchen and Bath Design: Certificate in Interior Design is Accredited by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA)

• Medical Assisting: The Certified Medical Assisting Program is Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE). • Nurse Aide: Approved Nurse Aide Education Program by the Colorado State Board of Nursing

• Nursing: Approved Registered Nursing Education Program by the Colorado State Board of Nursing and Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN)

• Pharmacy Technician Certificate: Accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP)

• Veterinary Technology: Accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities)
