In most cases, the courses you need are available on your selected campus. However, there may be times to complete courses online or travel to another FRCC campus. Location availability is indicated at the time of registration.

Program Description
The English program provides quality education in literature and writing through both the traditional classroom setting and online learning environments.
This program might be for you if:
- You are interested in learning more the ways in which stories have influenced and reflected culture and history.
- You would like to gain skills to effectively communicate in written forms.
- You would like to explore the written expression of the human condition.
English is the study of the written word in various formats, including, but not limited to, fiction, creative non-fiction, plays, and poetry. A.A. coursework provides students the opportunity to explore different literary traditions to gain a background on major movements within literature. With the an AA designation in English students will be taking literature courses (5) that will transfer over to most four year institutions in Colorado.
Career Opportunities
A bachelor’s degree in English can open doors to several entry level jobs in business and industry.
A degree in English opens the door to careers in:
- Teaching (primary, secondary, and college level)
- Law
- Media (print, broadcast, new media)
- Advertising and marketing
- Public relations
- Technical writing
- "Creative” careers in writing nonfiction, fiction, film/television, and poetry
