My Academic Plan
Program Mission & Description
Art History is the study of the visual arts over time, drawing upon multiple contexts including history, literature, philosophy and much more. The DWD reflects this with foundational survey courses in art history and studio arts along with other required general education course and recommended electives. Employment in the field itself typically requires graduate study. A doctorate is usually mandatory for higher-level academic positions while a master’s degree is often suitable for museum work, galleries and 2-year colleges.
Please Note: The degree track in Art History with Secondary Teaching Licensure has different requirements and is not included in this agreement. Please refer to this agreement’s cover page for the name of the Bachelor’s degree at the four-year institution to which this agreement applies.
