Cybersecurity

This AAS degree pathway is designed to introduce students to a comprehensive overview of network security, including general security concepts. Communication security is studied, including remote access, e-mail, the web, directory and file transfer, and wireless data. Common network attacks and Computer forensics are discussed. Cryptography basics are incorporated, and operational/organizational security is discussed as it relates to physical security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Requirements

Students must demonstrate course proficiency or course completion of CNG 120 A+ Certification Preparation or both CNG 121 Computer Technician I: A+ and CNG 122 Computer Technician II: A+ or permission of program director.

Students are strongly advised to meet with the program director before starting this degree pathway.
