Program Description

This program is designed for students wanting to complete a two-year AAS Degree in Business and enter the workforce. Students explore business, accounting, and legal principles. Students can choose electives in a specific field that interests them: accounting, business, computer information systems, computer science, computer networking, computer web, finance, management, and marketing. Students interested in transferring to Colorado public four-year universities may complete an AA in Business. Some careers may require a Bachelor's degree. Careers will allow the student to work in business, industry, government, and other organizations.

Semester Note: Upon completion of CIS 1018, MAN 1028, MAN 2026, MAR 2016, BUS 2017, MAN 2000, MAN 2025, and MAR 1017, you should apply for the Retail Management Certificate.

Upon completion of MAN 2025, BUS 1002 or MAN 2016, and 9 credits of electives (Select three courses from ACC 1021, BUS 2017, BUS 2026, BUS 2078, CIS 1018, CIS 1035, CIS 1045, CIS 1055, CWB 1030, MAN 1016, MAN 2026, MAR 1011, MAR 1055, MAR 2016, or MAR 2020), you should apply for the Small Business Ownership Certificate.

Important Program Notes: 

To fulfill Business AAS degree requirements, you must complete a minimum of 18 Business AAS Degree Elective* credits. 

*Business AAS Degree Electives include any of the following areas of study: Accounting (ACC), Business (BUS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Computer Networking (CNG), Computer Science (CSC), Computer Web-Based (CWB), Economics (ECO), Finance (FIN), Management (MAN), Marketing (MAR), and Multimedia Graphic Design (MGD).

You must enroll in BUS 2078 or BUS 2081 or BUS 2089 in your final semester.

This degree is designed for students wanting to complete a two-year AAS Degree in Business and enter the workforce. If you are planning to transfer to a Colorado public four-year college/university, you should view the Business AA degree MAP.

If you take College Algebra (MAT 1340), you will exceed 60 credits by 1 credit. You must complete a minimum of 60 credits to complete this degree. If receiving financial aid, you should only take courses and credits as required for this degree. Check with your advisor to monitor your completion progress.
