ASL 122 American Sign Language II
Develops a basic syntactic knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL), basic vocabulary and basic conversational skills. Incorporates vital aspects of Deaf culture and community. The direct experience method is used to enhance the learning process.
Prerequisite
ASL 121. Note: Students must complete this course with a grade of B or higher or pass the
ASL 121,
ASL 122 proficiency test at 80% or better prior to acceptance into the Interpreter Preparation Program.
Notes
The Westminster Campus offers a proficiency exam for both
ASL 121 and
ASL 122. A student must pass a proficiency exam with an 80% score or better to satisfy the applicable prerequisite requirement.
