Associate of Science Degree

This is a transfer degree designed for students who plan to major in subject areas such as: astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, meteorology, and physics.

The community colleges in Colorado are approved to offer one general Associate of Science Degree. This degree has a generic major of liberal arts. A list of additional A.S. degrees with designation can be found here.

Additional Graduation Requirements
  • No developmental courses may be applied to this degree.
  • No more than 6 semester credits independent study or internships may be applied to this degree.
  • Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 to be eligible to graduate.
  • Transfer Students must complete 15 semester credit hours that are part of their degree requirements at Front Range in order to earn a degree from Front Range.
  • Submit graduation application, transfer credits, and credit for prior learning to Admissions & Records by published deadline.
  • Continuing students who have not had a 12 month lapse in enrollment will be allowed to use the requirements listed in any catalog published while continuously attending.
