Landscape Design Certificate
Program Description
This program is designed for students wanting to complete a Certificate in Landscape Design and enter the workforce. Students explore CAD or Sketchup software, sustainable landscape practices, landscape design and business practices. This program prepares the student for a career as a residential landscape designer.

Semester Note: HLT 1032 is available as a Remote/Hybrid class in Fall and Spring semesters. It is also available In-Person at the Larimer Campus (Spring only).
Students may take their Internship in either Spring Semester 2, Summer, or Fall Semester 3 depending on coordination with industry partners. Faculty recommend students complete their Internship during the Summer semester after completing HLT 2030.

Important Program Notes:
Students may begin this certificate at Larimer Campus, but it may only be completed at Westminster Campus where all certificate classes are offered.
Horticulture faculty recommend students without plant identification skills take the HLT 2021, HLT 2022, HLT 2023 and/or HLT 2024 courses. If receiving financial aid, you should only take courses and credits as required for this Certificate. Check with your advisor to monitor your completion progress.
