CSC 119 is highly recommended prior to talking
CSC 160.
CSC 119 will prepare you to take higher-level computer science and programming courses including
CSC 160 (Computer Science I) required for transfer. If you are ready to take Computer Science I (
CSC 160), you may do so this semester instead of taking
CSC 119. This will allow you to complete your elective course in Semester 4. In Semester 4, you should consider taking
MAT 266, MAT 255, or CSC 161 or another class from the
Approved Elective List. Colorado State University
requires a different computer science course instead of CSC 160. You
should seek advising at Colorado State University for the appropriate computer science course to take.
