Program Description
This program is designed for students wanting to complete a one semester Certificate in Foundations of Early Childhood Education and enter the workforce. Students explore early childhood education techniques, curriculum development, child growth and development, and how to work with families. This certificate program provides students with the knowledge, techniques, and strategies to become qualified for a career as an early childhood teacher in Colorado. It meets or exceeds the education requirements for CDHS “Early Childhood Teacher (ECT).” CDHS also requires experience hours.
