Program Description

This program is designed for students wanting to complete a one-year (two semester) Certificate in Shielded Metal Arc Welding and enter the workforce. Students explore shielded metal arc welding techniques and processes. This certificate program covers safety inspections, minor repairs, operating parameters, and operating shielded metal arc welding equipment using various electrodes. This program prepares students for entry-level career positions in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing businesses.
