Program Description

This program is designed for students wanting to complete a two-year AAS Degree in Medical Office & Billing Specialist and directly enter the workforce. Students explore office/billing skills and procedures necessary in health care settings. This degree prepares the student for a career in a medical office/billing specialist role in a health care facility. Skills are developed in medical account management, computer applications, written communication, medical office procedures, financial management, insurance billing, International Classification of Diseases - 10th (ICD-10) Edition, and Physicians Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding, and transcribing medical reports.
