MST 111 Basic Massage Therapy
Introduces theory and techniques of therapeutic massage, including understanding of physiological benefits of massage as well as proper body mechanics and appropriate draping. Focuses on basic strokes of Swedish massage. Students also learn techniques of seated massage.
Prerequisite
HHP 116 and acceptance into the Massage Therapy program
Notes
Students must be accepted into the newest massage cohort and complete HHP 116 with a grade of "C" or better.
Recommended Preparation: MST 106 Anatomy & Physiology for Massage.
